At the annual conference of the New Zealand Federated Association of Tramway Workers it was agreed to urge upon, the Government a channel by which a Dominion union in one industry could M established. It was further resolved lliat as a complete organisation of trainwavmen had been accomplished since life last congress I lie time had arrived when a national agreement should govern all tramway work in the Dominion, and Unit, steps be taken to obtain such an agreement. It was agreed to alter tho constitution in the direction of making Wellington the headquarters of the association. Mr. C. llobbs (Wellington) was appointed president, and Mr. J. Hutchison (Wellington) secretary. and treasurer.
