A fatal shooting accident occurred in Hie I'okeno Valley on Sunday, resulting in the death of a returned soldier named John Gordon. Gordon was duck shooting on T.ake Mangamata when hi? gun went off accidentally in Hie boat. The District Coroner, in giving a. verdict o! accidental death added a rider re the careless handling of firearms.
