A marked decrease has to be recorded in the number of homeless persons in London. Statistics prepared by the London County Council show Unit in 1904 there wero 1797, and tho number in ISJIO had grown to 2747. Since that ye;.r thore lias been a great reduction going <ji- until it is now almost- nil. In 1913 th» number stood at G49; and a year later it was 540; whilst in February, 1015, it wns 178 In 1016 it hod fallen'to 4i; tho following year to 2S. arid in 1918 it stood at 9.
