THIEVES STILL AT WORK
ROBBERY IN LAMBTON QUAY.
Burglars are still at work in Wellington but tho miscreants appear to bo confining their attentions to 'wsincai premises. Some time during the week-end the mercery establishment ot Messrs. Davis and Clater, in Lainbton Quay, w entered ami a quantity ot men s clothing to tho value of about JiSO or .MO was stolen. Some of the goods were even taken from the front windows: Ingress to the shop was obtained by breaking a pane of glass in a window opening irom the office ,oii to ft riglix-of-way running along the side of the building. No attempt appears have been made to mterfere with the safe and 110 money was , obtained. The police have the matter in hau<i. . ' ,
