RELIGIOUS SOCIETY OF FRIENDS

The general meeting of the Religious Society of Friends in New Zealand wns begun on Saturday evening at the Friends' Hostel, Glen Road, Kelburn. [{representatives were present from the four centres. Greetings and epistles were read from the yearly meetings of London, Dublin, New York, and Philadelphia, and from the general meetings of South Africa and Australia. Leave was taken of- Thomas A. Bentley, who was sailing for England on Sunday to undertake a' course of study at Woodbrooke, and to attend the Peace Conference of All Friends, to be held in London in 1920. Yesterday iiublic meetings for worship were held in the common room of tho hostel both morning and evening.
