By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, June 27. ' A request for an assurance of .his support, of the Bill enabling women to sit in Parliament was made to , B ir V. illiarn. Frascr to-dar by a deputation from the Auckland branch of the National Council of Women. In his reply Sir William Eraser said the-promise made, by Mr. Mnssey that a measure on the subject wt-uld be brought down next session was an individual promise, and did r.ot bind the members of the Government. Personally, lie had grave doubts as to whether the proposal was practicable.'- Tho Minister indicated that he was unable to give the pledge asked for.
