Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly sale at Levin on Tuesday, when they offered a small-yarding of sheep and cattle. There was no demand for sheep, and the following are the principal, quotations for tho cattle:—Weancrs, £2; yearling uteors, £3 65..t0 £3 10s.; springing-heifers, £10 to £14 2a. 6d.; empty heifers, to £5 10s.; springills cows, £9 to £12 55.; hulls, £4 to £5 ss. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., report, having held their fortnightly sale in the Colombo Road yards on Wednesday, when they offered about v 2700 sheep, and close on 20u head of cattle. In spite of the unsettled weather that prevailed throughout tho day, the sale was attepded by a fair attendance of the public. Bidding at auction was animated throughout. Quotations are as follow:— Two-tooth wethers, 245., 275. Bd., to 28s. I'd.; two-tooth empty ewes, 255. 3d.; fat ewes and wethers, 21s:, 245.. 24b. 9d.. to 265.; forward store eweß, 15s. 9d., 165., 175., to £1;cull ewes, Bs., 95., 125., to 14a.; lambs, 10s., Us. <d., lis.
