AUCKLAND'S WAR MEMORIAL

The erection.of a museum on Obsorviitoiv Hill and a'monument on a site offered liv the Auckland Harbour Board was decided upon by the City Council tonight, as Auckland's memorial. It is proposed that the size of the museum should be 80,000 square feet, 50,000 square feet being for museum 1 purposes, and 30.000 square feet for War exhibits. It is propped to spend <KO,OOO on the museum and .£20,000 on the monument.
