At a meeting of tho Management Committee of the Manawatu Hockey Association this week correspondence vas received in regard lo challenge matches from the New Zealand, Wellington, and Canterbury Associations, and it was agreed to play Wellington in tliat city on July 20. The Holeclors are to pick a list of profcablo players at once, who'will go into training. Canterbury wrote asking that August II should be pencilled for a shield maich in Palmerston, in the event OY Manaivatii defeating Wellington on July 20. Should Wellington remain holders on tlw latter date. Canterbury ,are to.bo asked to play a, friendly match at Palmerston, instead of the shield match.
