M'Gregor, and J; Mackenzie (Ota?o I. and Southland), and R E. see- ' retary. j Mr. Acland, in'moving Hie'adoption of [ the Teport and balance-sheet, stated that ;■ demands had been received in regard to !' new conditions and rates of pay for shearers and'shed bands, and «" conference with .representatives of the various shearers unions had been arranged for the afternoon to discuss these demands. Mr James Begg seconded the motion for, the adoption of the annual report which was carried. •

The following officers were' elected — President, Mr. il. ]). Acland (re-elected); vice-preaident, Jlr. H. D. M'Leod (reelected); hon. treasurer, Mr. L. C.-Gar-diner. -The appointment of the member* of the council was left in the hands of the various'affiliated sheepowners' unions, Mr. John Deans, who had acted as lion, treasurer for the.'past five years, wrote resigning his position, and 'his' rwignu tion was received with regret. The following were appointed delegates to the conference with the Shear-' era . Union • representatives:—Messrs. Acland, Bege, Gascoyne, Macdonald, Morrison, Pattullo, tiherratt, Vavasour Jack find Labatt. ' '

M'Leod, the followme resolution was passed :-'That the bneepowners Federation urge, upon the Government that in,all future negotiations for purchase, etc., of produce the various producers' associations in' the Dominion should be consulted. At the conclusion of the meeting, a conference with the shearers' unions' representatives was held, and was adjourned till this morning at 10 o'clock.
