6 ISLAND BAY CLUB. In the annual report of the Island Bay Club regret is expressed at the decease of the following esteemed members:—Mr. W. J"! Brown, Mr. .J. E. ■ Hull, Mr. L. F. Reichel, and Mr. F. Penty. During the year, three members resigned, leaving tho club 66 ordinary members, an increase of 13 over last year's return. Tho club's operations have resulted in a deficit of Ml 12b. 2d. "The club competitions were thoroughly enjoyed by the members who participated, and produced a revenue of M 2s. Tho winners of the various competitions were as under:—Senior singles, Mr. F. A. Edwards; junior singles, Mr. .T. A. Conder; club pairs, Messrs. D. 11. Taylor and N. F. Willoughby (s.); club Wnks, Messrs. R. E. Herron, G. iGreig, \V. Kerr, Rev. J. G. T. Castle (£•.). A rink tournament held- during Easter, was greatly enjoyed,'' the winners being Messrs H. F. Clarko, I l '. Edluna, J. A. Conder, and T. Bland(s.). . "The club was represented in all tho intciwdub competitions arranged by tile Wellington Bowling Centre. Though not as successful in the Ponnant matches as might have been desired, tho teams selected had mucli pleasure and gained good experience. It io gladly recorded that the club uas. successful in winning the Junior Stars from Lyall Bay, and successfully defended them throughout the seaton. The Hill Pins wore won from 'J'hormlon, and .successfully held until tlm last match of the season, when a team from Lower Hult carried them oft.
