AN ESCAPED PRISONER

Wanganui, June 23. , Michael M'Canti, who escaped from cusiodv by jumping off thd Main Trmit train oil June 12, at Hie top of the Kauriimi spiral, and who was captured on Saturday night at Fordell. appeared at. the Magistrate's Court this morning on a charge of escaping from custody. He pleaded guilty, and the Magistrate deferred sentence until to-morrow.
