PEACE CELEBRATIONS
OLD ARRANGEMENTS CANCELLED IMPERIAL PLANS TO BE FOLLOWED The Government has uow received a communication from the Imperial Government with regard to peace celebrations and Cabinet has agreed to fall into with the proposals of tho Imperial Government. The date cannot be specifically mentioned at the present moment, but the iocal authorities may rest assured that niter peaco is signed ample time will be given to them to make their, necessary preparations. The New Zealand Government's scheme which has been promulgated will, therefore, be abandoned, and further intimation will be given as soon as peaco is signed as to the actual dates on which tho celebrations are to tako plr.ee.
