From this point to halftime New Zealand forced the game, tho scores al! the interval being: New Zealand, lGj New South Walest 8. the scorers for the visitors 'being Wilson (two tries). Davidson, M'Grogor (one try each), and Walters and Ifwerson (one goal cacM, the former kicking a penalt.v just beforo linlf-time. Ifwerson was injured in the shoulder and retired, M'Clyuiont replacing him. In tho second half the game was a hard-fought: one. New South Wales used forcing tactics, which resulted in much rough play. The final scores were: New South .Wales, 22; New Zealand. 19. Tho only scorer for the Blacks in tho second spell was Wilson (a try, which was rnconvertcd).—l'ress Assn.
