BURGLARS STILL AT WORK
A CITY HOTEJi ROBBED. While the proprietor of the Alhambra Hotel, in ■ Cuba Street, was haS'ing tea on Thui'.-.day evening, thieves entered tho nifliii Iμr of the hotel and removed from the till between X 25 and .£3O. TJio burglarj" took place about an hour and n quarter after the bar had been. closed. It is believed that tho burglars'gained admission by way of a narrow right-of-way, closed oft' from Cuba Street, by a high wooden door, and then climbed in through one of tho windows of the main bar. They lost no time in operating on the till, and must have worked very quietly, for persons in the adjoining room heard nothing to arouse their .suspicions. This very audacious robbery makes the fifth within a fortnight. On Juno 12, the premises of the Cycle and Motor Supplies, Ltd., and those.of the Wjstport Coal. Company, were entered, end a foiv days later the offices of Messrs. Magnus, Sanderson, and Company, at the rear of the Grand Opera House, were ransacked. Following this, Messrs. Hill Bros', premises in Cuba Street were burgled. Fortunately in these cases tho miscreants failed to 6&cure much booty.- ■
