Messrs. Dalgety r.nd Co., Ltd., Paimerston North, report having a small entry of stock at their Marton sale on Monday, which sold as below:—Fat and forward ewes, 22a. lOd.; fat ewes, 275.; mixed-aee ewes in lamb, 245. 10d.; small weaners, £1; empty Btore cowa, £5 10a. Meßsrs.' Dalgety and 00., Ltd., report having hold a most successful clearing salo of dairy cows, sheepi' and sundries on account of Mr. T, Field, Loviu. Tho herd of cows offered were calving to suitable dates, and aB the cattle were in excellent order and condition an exceptionally keen sale resulted, a high average of £19. per head being made for the cowa. ' Very favourable comment was passed ,on the quality and condition of the stock, and as full records had been kept of tho milking results last year buyers were able to bid with confldeuco for each animal submitted. The cows realised the following pricea:-One, £22 55.; one, £21; oue, £20 10s.; three, £20; three, £19 10b.; two, £19; one, £18 is.; four, £16. Other tales were aa under ;-Eleven eighteen-month heifers in calf, £8 55.; weaner hoifers, £3 Is,; fullmouth uwca in lamb, 215.; medium mixedsex hoggets, 15s. 10d.; small mixed-sex hoggets, 10b. 3d.; breeding sows, £J 17b. 6d. to £10 2s. id. A Une of eight two-year-old heifers, spring calvera, brought the satisfactory price of £13 lis. , Mr. Newton King reporta:-At Stony Elver on* Juno 10 all classes came forward in fair numbers, a satisfactory sale resulting. Mixed weaners,' £2 la.; eighteenmonth to twenty-month empty heifers £4 10s. to £5 55.; two and a half-year-old 6toers, £8 10s.; ordinary store cows, £5 ss;. to £7.155.; boners £2 to £6 55.; working bullocks made £25 to £30 per pair; fat wethers, 345. 9d.; fresh-conditioned ewes, 19s. 3d.; dairy heifers (springing), £10 10a. to £11.15b.; othera, £10 to £10 17s. £d.; smaller sortß, £7 14a. 6d. to £8 3s. 6d.heifers (calved), £12 155.; dairy cows, beat, £16; others, £9 15a. to £11 as. At, Kohuratahi, on June 11, in conjunction with the Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile. Co.. a sheep<and cattle sale was held. Practically every pen offered changed hands, demands for all classes proving in exceaa of atock yarded. Eighteen to twenty-month steers £4 13s. 6d. to £6 lis.; eighteen to twentymonth empty heifers, £4 15a. to £6 10b.; bulla, £4 10a.; mixed weaners, £2 10s.; springing heifera, £8 5b.; medium lambs, 14b. 3d. to 16a. 10d.; smaller ao., lis.; twotooth wethers, 255. id. to 27a.; inferior do., 21s. At Waiwakaiho, on Juno 12, best-con-ditioned cows made £8 Is. to £8 15b ■ ordir.ary storeß, £4 10s. to £5 iOs.; boners, £2 10s. to £6; bulls, £10 10a.; dairy cowa, £10. On Juno 14, at Matapu, a clearing sale was held on account of Mr. F. 1: M'Carthy. Buyers attended in good numbers, bidding proving very trißk throughout. .Best cows mado from £15 to £28; backward aorta, £8 to £12. On June 13, at Bell Block, a dißperaal of pedigree Jersey cattle was held on account of Meßsrs. J. 11. Street and S. W. Shaw and C 4. A. Hauler. Buyers were in attendance from all parts of the Dominion. Mr. Street's cows made 18 to 135 guineas; thrco-year-old heifers. 105 guineas; two-year-old heifera, 45 to 65 guineas; twenty-month heifers', 18 to 55 guineaß; yearling heifera, 22 to 30 guineas; heifer calves, 16 to 50 guineas; two-year-old bull, 50 guineas; yearling bullß, 15 to 45 guineas. Mr. Shaw's cows made.ls to 85 guineas; two-year-old heifer, 48 guineas; heifer calf, 31 guineas; bull calves, 15 to 30 guineas. Mr. Hadler'a 'cows made 60 guineas; two-year-old heifer, 46 guineas.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their l'ahintua Bale held on Tuesday :-W"c yarded a fair entry of Bheep and a few cattle. Competition was fairly brisk, and jirices on a par with late saleß. We iiuotc:—Mixod-ecx fat Bheep, 315.; cull ewes, Bb. Id.; cull lambs, 6b.; dairy heifers, £9 10s.
