NURSES' MEMORIAL FUND

At the annual meeting of the Ivfuw Zealand Nurses' Memorial Fund, the president, Dr. Ferguson, $\id that with the money in hand and to come in they were well on the way to £10,000. A claim just made, would absorb a considerable amount of the annual revenue, but the case was one in which help wis urgently needed.
Miss M'Lean said she had Teceived reliable information that Cabinet had authorised the placing of a sum en the Estimates to supplement by a £ for £ subsidy any grant which the fund might make.
The following office-bearers Vera elected:—President, Dr. Ferguson; tics-presi-dent, Dr. Young (Wellington) and Mr. G. Fenwick; committee, Miss JI. M'Lean, Mr. A. E. Pearce (Wellington), Mr. 0. Nicholson (Auckland), Mrs. Sandston, Dr. Manning (Christchurch;, Dr. Young (Invercargill), Miss Thomson, Mrs. Kidd, Messrs. Begg, MacGregor, Nathan, and C. E. Smith.
