Washington correspondent reports that State Department advices from Peking say that Chun Chi Siang, the' Chinese Minister to Japan, has resigned, following on the agitations in China over the Shantung settlement. Several Chinese officials in Peking have also resigned for the eamo reason. ; Washington, June 11. The Japanese Charge d'Affairts has issued a statement that no Japanese warships were sent to Shanghai (as vas cabled yesterday).—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
