FIRE ON STEAMER WAITANGI
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, June 19. An outbreak of fire occurred on the steamer Waitangi at I'atca on Tuesday evening. It was caused by funies from leaking benzine, this igniting a naked light wns used near the hold. The flames rose to a great height, but were soon overcome by prompt action. Four men in the hold had narrow escapes.
