DEPUTATION TO SIR JAMES ALL-EN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Juno 19. Replying to a deputation from • the Auckland Branch of the National Council of AVomeu, the Hon. Sir James Allen said ho was hardly in a-position,, to (;ivo an assurance that a Bill would he introduced. : during the coining session to innke women eligible for Parliament. Tho party leaders would return very soon. He thought the deputation could almost take it for granted that one of them had practically pledged himself to bring down a measure in the direction desired. Ho thought the bulk of members of Parliament vere prepared to support l the claims of tho women.
