SHEEP BREEDERS
ANNUAL MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. (Special Benorter.) Palmerston North, Juno 18. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Sheep Breeders' Association (North Island) was held at the A. and P. Society's rooms this morning. The president; (Mr. S. R. Lancaster) was in the chair. 'The annual report and' balance-sheet, a precis of which has already appeared in these columns, were road and adopted. Officers wero elected as follow: President, Mr. S. R. Lancaster (Palmerston North); vice-president, Mr. H. V. Stuckey; council, Messrs. Ellis (Bulls), Marshall (Morton), N. IJayner (Jlastorton); delegate to Agricultural Conference, Mr. James Knight (Feilding); auditor, Mr. P. L. Sim. The president and secretary and Mr. Knight were appointed a. sub-committeo to draw up rules for tbe inspection of ewes. A deputation comprising Messrs. H. Akers, J. M. Johnston, and C. Dunk waited on the association in connection with the Breeders' Club. Mr. Johnston explained, tho objects of the club, towards the funds of which tho association decided to make a grant of .£SO. Subsequently the council of the association met and made the following allocation of tho annual gold medals: Chninpion Southdown rani, Manawatu Show; best two-tooth Southdown ram, to Feilding, Masterton, Rangitikei, Wairarapa Shows; best two-tooth Shropshire ram, Auckland Show; best two-tootli English Leicester ram, Hamilton Show.
