At a special meeting of the Now Zealand Insurance Company to-day it was derided to alter the articles of association by the insertion of clauses that read as follow: —"(38a) The company may (a) divide its capital or any part thereof by subdivision of its existing shareß, or any of them, into shares of smaller' amount than is ilxcd by its memorandum of asio-t elation; (b) consolidate and divide its capital or any part thereof into shareß of larger amount than its existing shares." The resolution will be cubmitted for confirmation at a second extraordinary general meeting to be convened subsequently.
