Captain H. Cloyden, of the Shavr-Saviil liner Arawa, has been appointed marina superintendent of the South Island for tho Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company, Ltd., in' succession to the late Captain A. M'DOugall. Captain Clayden will as. surne his new duties shortly. Captain It. S. Lewis, Of the Pakelia, will assume command of the Arawa,' and Mr. Hartmail, chief officer of the Arawa, will take oommand of the Pakeha.
' Midshipman P. S. Harrison, second son of the late' Dr. Harrison, of Eltham, is •returning to New Zealand in the steamer I'rinzessin on June 25; his elder brother, J. V. Harrison, having returned to Wellington a few weeks ago.
It is announced in General Orders thai Staff Cadet J. R. H. Fulton, having: passed the entrance examination, has been attested for admission to the Royal Military College at JJuntroon.
Mr. Len Barnes, the Wellington vocalist; has hooked his passage for San Francisco by the Mo&na, sailing next month. Mr. Barnes will be accompanied by his wife and children.
