EASTBOURNE SOCIAL CLUB

The fortnightly gathering of the Easthourno Social Club ns held on Saturday evening, thero being a large gathering o£ members. 'Mr. E. W. Wise occupicd tlin chair. Tlio evening was devoted to a progressive euchre tournament, dance, and orchestral selections. The winners of the eueliro tournament were Miss Morris and Captain Hardham; and of the • consolation prizes Miss Gladys Tlussell and Mr. Piorard. Tlio dance music, which was Willy appreciated, was provided by the club orchestra, Mrs. Carte and Messrs. Downs and Probert. The orchestra was particularly successful in a new and novel set 'of lancers. Arrangements have now been made for dancing to bo continued at each gathering until midnight. New members still continuo to be nominated, and the total has now reached one hundred and fifty.
