HELP THE MOTHERS
The movement instituted by the Women's National Itcscrve designed to provide domestic help for hardpressed mothers with young families is one deserving of all the support that can be given it. It is not merely a -matter affecting the individual, but one which concerns the nation. The scarcity of domestic help and the household worries of tile parents, especially the mothers, of large families are factors which count in the restriction of our birthrate. Anything of a practical nature ' which can be done to make easier the lot of the overtaxed mother must be regarded in the light of a service to the State, and this is what the Mothers' Help section of the Women's National Reserve has sol; out to accomplish. In our news columns kklay we publish a circular issued on behalf of the movement appealing for financial assistance. The sum sought to be raised is a modest one, and in view of the purpose to which the funds arc to be devoted the appeal should meet with a sympathetic and generous response from the public. '
