Acting-Sub-Inspector Emerson stated that inquiries had been made, but a difficulty had occurred. Accused had considered himself to be a suitable farm ■hand, but it transpired that he could not milk' His Worship decided to send Ross to Oliiro Home. He was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon within six months on condition that ho remained in the home until arrangements could be made for Ins future disposal. George Waterman, who appeared on remand for the theft of some shirts, socks, and a razor belonging to John O'Keefe, was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon within, threa years, on condition that ho remained on a relative's farm near Picton durinu that time. He was also instructed not to 1 touch liquor for three years, and was warned that if he did so he would be sentenced to threo yeans' reformative treatment. On informations of failing to attend drill W. Pethcram was fined .£2, and N. L. E. Cording and L. T. J. Bromley wore each convicted and discharged,
