A meeting of the Petone AVer Memorial Committee was* held lafet evening. The Mayor of Petone (Mr. J. W. M'Ewan) occupied the chair,- and there was a gtfod attendance of members. Several designs for the proposed monument and tho alternative memorial hall were laid on tho table.
