PROTEST FROM CANTERBURY. By Telepraph—Press Association. Christchurch, June 11. At a .largely- atteaded meeting ui me North Canterbury section of the 'Post and Telegraph Officers' Association tonight, the i'ollowii.f' resolution wao catvied unanimously.:—"That in the opinion of this section the new classification cf the service is very far from satisfactory, and there are anomalies disclosed under which experienced and tried officers are receiving <£1 to .£25 increments, while other officers are receiving £90 to XlOfl, hut the- main ground of objection lies in the- fact that the Department has disregarded the increase in the cost of living." It was also decided;—" That this iiif-etiog requests that the war bonus for the year ending September 30, 1910, be paid' at'onco." ~
