SALVATION ARMY.
JUBILEE CONGRESS. The first session of tho Jubilee Congross of the Salvation Army was held in the Vivian Street Citadel last evening. A convorsazione, presided over by Commissioner Rodder, gave tho delegates iof whom 350 were present) an opportunity of meeting one another. Representative speakers welcomed tho delegate*, nnd especially honoured in their addresses the venerable retiring chief of the Ktaff. Commissioner Howard. The congress-- will be in private session to-day, and tho main purposes of the meetings will bo devotional. On Saturday afternoon the best Army bauds in the Dominion will parade, from Thorndon Station. Other public demonstrations referred to in our advertising columns will be held on Sunday and Monday.
