SURVEY OF LINE I'ROM AVAIHOA •TO WAIKOKOPU. By ToleijraDh— Press Acnociation. Wairoa, Juno 11. The Public Works Department haj made the necessary arrangements to commenco an immediate survey of the proposed railway line from Wairoa to Waikokopu. With this object in view, Mr. C. E. 'Armstrong. Public Works Engineer, arrived in Wairoa yesterday, overland from Gisborne. He states that given favourable weather conditions the survey will be completed in a little less thaii three months. The survey party has been taken off the Wairoa-Napier line, the survey of which has been completed as far as Mohaka. ai/d will start immediately on tho Waikokopu work. Mr. Albertson, who has charge of tho survey party, and Mr. Armstrong spent yesterday looking over the proposed rotito with a view to getting their .bearings beforo commencing the actual survey. '
