DEADLOCK IN SHIPPING STRIKE
■Melbourne, June 10. ■ There are no further prospects, of a settlement of the strike. There are now forty thousand unemployed, and great distress is prevalent. PLAIN, COMMONSENSE TALK BY LABOUR LEADER, Adelaide, June 10. The, position caused by the coal shortage, is serious. Already nine hundred workers are affected. The President of tho Labour Council, referring to Mr. Justice Higgins's comments on the seamen's dispute, supported his viows, and advised the workers to support tho declared policy of tho Labour Party, which was against revolutionary methods.
