GREEN ISLAND MINERS' DISPUTE
FRESH OFFEB BY THE PROPRIETORS. By Telegraph—Press Association Dunedln, June 9. In connection with tho Grpeii Island miners' dispute, a fresh offer, involving a concession in the matter of filling ono kind of coal, was mado to the men to-day by tho proprietors, and there appear to be some grounds for tho assumption that this may form the basis of an early settlement. The men considered the owners' proposals at a -special' meeting to-night, and decided they were not acceptablo in their uresont form. Another meeting will be held to-morrow night to further consider tho matter.
