The latest report regarding tho Koonya is that the vessel is stranded. A steamer is standing by. The crew have landed.Press Assn. Sydney, June S. The Union Company's latest advice is that the Koonya is a total wreck. Under a lifeboat oh the shore a note was found stating that the crew were all saved and had left overland for Zeehan.—Press Assn. ■ TTha Koonya was a steel screw -vessel of 1091 gross tons, built in 1896.at Grangemouth by tho. Grangemouth Dockyard Company for the Union Steam Ship Company. She had a length of 225 ft., breadth of 81.2 ft., and a depth of 13.2 ft. She was principally engaged on the New Zealand coast as. a cargo carrier, and was one of tho Union Company's large fleet of "K" vessels.]
