Russell (Minister of Public 'Health) regarding the relaxatii)') of the', quarantine restrictions against"passenger traffic from Australia. ■ .' "The Health Department has agreed, 1 said the Minister, to relax the embargo on passenger traffic from Australia to the extent ul' allowing a passenger list of two hundred in a vessel which will be leaving Sydney aljout the middle of June. This decision has been come to after very grave consideration, owing to the fact that, the Just news from Australia with regard ■to the epidemic, is by no means iwsuring. The pusitiun in .New Zealand is exceedingly satisfactory at present, and consequently precautions will be taken with regard'to the passengei-s to come by this vessel. :A medical officer is to accompany them, and for this purpose Dr. If. A. Davis! is going over to Sydney by the Manuka. He'will arrange for the medical examination of all passengers at Sydney, in order that 110 danger may he incurred.'/
