The following-motions wore p.-ssed:— "That this meeting plsdflos. itself to sup ' port tho Auckland Railway League in its endeavours to get through the railway' communication between Am.-liann and Gisborne upon tho distinct understanding that the Auckland League gives its unanimous support to the iinmeriiatc construction of llio Napier-tiisborno portion of the route." "That this netting would urge upon tho Government to tako immcdiato and energetic steps to initinto a vigorous construction policy, so as to link up tho Auckland and ilawko's Bay districts with the GisbOrno district, anil so open up and develop the most important undeveloped portion of Naw Zenland."
