Gd. to 3s. 9d. • .Supplies of oats aro still difficult to obtain, as growers'aro . holding firmly, and are expected to <lo so''while the winter is still in front of them. Oatsheaf chaff is 'further advanced,' and buyers are now offering £7 at country stations, but; as with oats, growers are'reluctant sellers. .... , • , The potato market is : easier, ;as. large quantities are going forward to Auckland by the■'Wainiarino, and! there will also be a shipment later by the Koromiko. It is reported that'the northern market is filled up for the time being, and . that forward! buyers in 'Auckland ,are trying to resell purchases at about .£7_ f.o.b. Lyttelton.' At the samo' time it is . also said that no resales have been confirmed. Prospects of trade with Sydney appear .to; have been dissipated' for the. tinie being. , and accumulated stocks in Victoria and Tasmania will probably be sufficient to meet Sydney requirements for soriie time, when shipping is available. The local market ,has v now declined .£6 to >£6 ss„ country markets. Onions are also easier, and £1 is now' the ruling price at country stations. It is'- stated that the crop is not keeping this season.

There is good demand for clover.seed without any ohange in price from' last •report. > There is s^n;-improvement in cocksfoot, and growers are now being offered Bd.fl and 9d. per lb., an advance of ]Jd. lb. on late rates.
