Tho monthly meeting of the Hurt District High Schol Committee was held last ovening. Present: Messrs. Smith, Wroy, Anderson, Alexander, Dornn, West, Forsyth. The headmaster reported a roll number of. 516, and nn avorngo attendance of 19S for (ho month. During (ho month a collection taken up in aid of fne School Sports Fund realised .£5 13s. Willi reference lo the dangers of children travelling to the school on the (rain, it was decided to instruct the secretary to write to tho local stntionmastcr, and also to the Education Board, asking that stricter supervision bo exorcised over children dwelling, and suggesting if possible the locking of the platform gnto on tho cars between the stations. It was decided that tho "Education Board be asked to obtain a supply of State coal for all schools at a reasonable cost.
