PROPOSED CARNIVAL WEEK FOR WANGANUI

The Agricultural Society is making efforts to promote an annual carnival week in Wanganui, the intention being to hold Jockey Club and TrottiDg Club meetings, an autumn show, a regatta, a sports gathering, and competitions, as well a 9 arranging for evening entertainments. To-night' a'deputation waited on the Jeckey Club with a request that the club ..should, if. possible, fix the'''dates df its February' meeting a fortnight earlier than usual. The deputation received a most favourable hearing.
