EASTBOURNE SOCIAL CLUB
-0 : In tho absence through illness of the Mayor (Mr. F. H. Mather), Mr. Frank Wills presided over a large gathering of members of the Eastbourne Social Club at tho fortnightly meeting on Saturday evening. The orchestra,. under tlie direction of Mr. S. Oimino, -was recalled for its opening numjier, and, by special request, played a delightful Spanish number, "Anitn." The club is indebted - to Mrs. Maud BletsoeEuckeridge for journeying across the harbour with her talented company of "Gay Gambols," who provided the evening's programme. The entertainment was bright and artistic, each item being highly appreciated.. The performers were Misses Cassie, Lucas, Guise, Buckeridge, M'lnerney, Fuller, Sapsford, and Messrs. Peek and Brown. After supper, dancing was continued juitil midnight,
