THE ADVENTURES OF N.C,3 (By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright-Now York, May 20 (delayed). The correspondent of the Now York "Times" states that Commander Towers, of the N.C.3, which broks down on the way to the Azores, has reported to the Navy Department frcii Ponta Delgada. The'report shows that the seaplane was compelled to descend to the sea on the morning of May 17. for the purpose ol making an observation. The sea was rough, and the maohino was damaged on alighting. Tho mishap occurred eighty-five miles south of the proper course, and 205 miles from Ponta Delgada. Tho iN.0.3 ''taxied" along the surface of the sea for more than, 52 hours, and. in spite of a heavy galo, roached Ponta Delgada on May 19. She lost both wing pontoons on tho way.— Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn. A MOSQUITO~FLY-ABOI]T Paris, Juno 1. A "mosrjuito" aeroplane, tho smallest in the world, was successfully flown for an hour. It has a2O horse-power engine, and a span of 13ft.—Ans.-N.Z.
