YESTERDAY Present indications are for easterly winds, strong to gale, northwards of Kawhia and East Cape, and variable winds, witli moderate to strong easterlies to northerlies, prevailing elsewhere. Weather fair to cloudy generally, but unsettled with rain following in tho northern and southernmost districts. The barometer has a Jailing tendency, and conditions aro threatening to the north-westward. Anti-cyclonic conditions have ruled, fair weather prevailing, with very cold nights.
