MORE UNDEFENDED CASES llis Honour the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) heard and determined several divorce cases 011 Saturday. ■ CONNOR V. CONNOR. Robert Clement Ilenry Connor, for whom Air. Cohen, of appeared, sought a dissolution of his marriage with Clara Josephine Connor 011 the ground of misconduct. The parties were marI ried in November, 1903, and there were three children of the marriage. The petitioner weut to the war, and was away for three yeare. On 'returning to.New Zealand, in consequence of something ho luul heard, private detectives were employed to watch the respondent. Bert William Munns and Walter Dinnie, private detectives, gave evidence as to the misconduct of the respondent. His Honour granted a decree nisi, to bo made absolute in threo months, with costs against the-correspondent. DUNCAN .V. DUNCAN. 'Mr. H. F. von Haast apeared for Jeunnie Davina Duncan, who- sought a dissolution of her marriage with Archibald Campbell Duncan on; tlie ground of misconduct. The; parties lived in Oamaru, and'the respondent, who went to the war, returned to his family, and his conduct then was extremely bad. ' His Honour granted a decreo nisi, to be made absolute in three months. . MAHONEY Y. MAHONEY. Charles Southwell Mahoney, represented by Mr. von Haast, petitioned for n dissolution of his marriage with Minnie Barbara Mahoney on the ground of misconduct. TIIO respondent left her husband in 1918. and investigations made showed that she was living with a coloured man named King. Corroborative evtdeneo having been given, His Honour granted a decree nisi, to be made absoluto in three months, with costs against the corespondent. • DAY V. DAY. Mr. .'f. Scott appeared for Ellen Alberta Day, who" sought a dissolution of her liiairiago with William David Day on the ground of misconduct. The petitioner in her evidence stated that she followed her husband and a Mrs. Keenan to the Wellington College grounds, and she subsequently taxed them with misconduct, which was admitted. Owing to the unavoidable absence of a witness the further hearing was adjourned until to-day. YOUNG V. YOUNG. Entli Isabella Young, wlio was represented by Mr. E: I'. Hay, sopght iv dissolution of her marriage with Eric Balfour Young 011 the ground of misconduct. On February 28 last the respondent was staying at a Wellington hotel with another woman who passed as his wife. When the petitioner discovered this she went to -the hotel and saw the licensee, who sent for Young, and 011 being assured that petitioner was his wife the licensee ordered Youim out of the house. His Honour granted a, decree nisi, to lie made absolute in three months, with costs against, the respondent.
