• SURVEYING FOR SETTLEMENT. (Rfic. June 1, 5.5 p.m.) Cape Town, May 25 (delayed). Replying to a question in the Union Assembly, the Acting-Premier stated that the Government was bringing in legislation to give -effect to the principles of the mandate for German South-west Africa, but not this session. It was not intended to throw open the territory before pence, but meanwhile it was being surveyed with a view to settlement—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
