PETONE POLICE COURT
. - . ' -j, —. ■At the Petone Police Court yesterday morning, bofore Messrs. J. Piper and J. Kerr, .T.P.'e, Patrick M'Gill appeared on remand on a charge of having stolon a handbag containing money from Mrs. Mary Isherwood. The evidence showed that on May 5 last Mrs. Ishorwood met the accused, who, it was alleged, snatched a handbag containing a sum of £la jn money just_ as Mrs. Isberwood was entering a.waiting inotor-car. The accused, who pleaded guilty to having Ui.q bag in his possession, but who denied'stealing the money, was committed for trial, Bail was allowed. ■ *
