FOR THE BEST ALL-ROUND BOY
« THE RUTHERFURD SCHOLARSHIP. At yesterday's meeting" of the Board of College Governors "it was announced that Mrs. Josephine Rutherfurd (of Masterton)' had arranged with Mr. J. P. Firth (headmaster of the Wellington College)'the terms and conditions of the scholarship she was establishing as a memorial to her late son. The scholarship was to consist of a cash payment annually of £20, and was to be presented to the best all-round boy in the. school (taking in field sports with educational attainment).' Mr. Firth was to select the winner. Tho board agreed. It mas announced by the secretary ,'Mr. C. P. Powles) that the first .£2O had been paid in to the credit of the board.
