Sir Evelyn Wood, replying to n conRrntulntory letter on his 81st birthday ad<lressed to him by ex-Sergeant Steers, 17th Lancers, Bath, says that he and Steers are the only two "oft of that famous regiment who sailed iu the Great Britain (the largest vessel then afloat) in October, 1857, for India, to eerve against the mutineers. \
