WANGANUI'S LATEST SCHEME. By Telegraph—Press Aeeociation. Wanganui, May 28. With the approval'of tlio Minister of Lands and the Minister in Charge of War Funds, the • Wanganui-Waitotara Patriotic Association to-day umuiimoiisly decided to transfer .610,000 to a land settlement fund .for the purpose of cooperating with the Government in placing soldier settlers on farms. As a beginning a proposal to acquire a Westniere property for subdivision into dairy farms for soldiers who had applied for them was approved, and tho lands committee was authorised to complete the transactions,
