A collision between a motor-bus and a stock train returning lo Christchurch occurred last night «t Black Street railway crossing, at Kaiapoi. Tho driver of the bus had no intimation of tho approaching train till-just before it readied tho crossing. Ho swerved, and struck the rear portion of the train, the bus being extensively damaged. There were no passengers oh tho bus. The driver, H. Miles, escaped without injury. The Kaiapoi 1 Borough Council recently drow the attention of tho Railway Department to tho dangerous naturo of the crossing.
