WILLIS STREET WIDENING TO BE 'COMPLETED,... The Mayor \MV. j. 1\ Luke) announced yesterday that a completo agreement had at length been arrived at between the proprietors of tho Duke of Edinburgh Hotel and the City Corporation as to tno setting back of tue Willis'Street frontago of tlio-hotel ten feet, to the new building alignment on tho east side of that thoroughfare. It has been difficulties concerning this property that has for some years past held up the widening of Willis Street. Ail effort was mado prior to the war to complete the work, which, has dragged on fur nearly two decades, but no linality could bo reached between tlio parties. The recent court action practically cleared the waj. and now the work is to be pushed forward immediately. Tho Mayor also stated that ho had been authorised to push forward with tho setting back to the now uligunient tho premises occupied by Messrs. W. bniart, jj. J. W. and Sherwood, just below tho Duke of Edinburgh Hotel. VVhen this work is done tlio widening of .Willis Mieet will at length lmve been completed.
