It is announced that as ono of the competitors did not strictly comply witli the conditions laid down for photographs, a rejndging has resulted in tho gold medal being awarded to Mr. .T. J. Johnston, Majoribanks Street, Wellington, and tho bronze medal to Mr. G. J. Startup, Wellington. ! A gold medal has also been awarded to Mr. Horace C. Cottrell for collection of Untern slides' showing improvements to Napier. . . 1
